For Educators

At ICEA, we make the process of applying for teaching positions in U.S. school districts as seamless and transparent as possible. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for opportunities through our agency, whether you're seeking a J1 Visa or H1B Visa sponsorship.

Before You Begin: Quick Eligibility Checklist

  • Valid teaching certification or license
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related field
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience
  • English proficiency (if applicable)
  • Required documents ready (resume, transcripts, recommendation letters)

Application Process

Follow these steps to complete your U.S. teacher application.

Start by visiting our Job Opportunities page to view current openings in U.S. school districts.

We list available positions, along with requirements and visa eligibility. Make sure you meet the minimum qualifications for the job you're interested in.

Before applying, ensure you have the following documents ready:

  • Application letter and updated resume/CV
  • Teaching certification
  • Degree transcripts
  • Recommendation letters (3 or more)
  • English proficiency proof (if applicable)

If you do not have all documents yet, you may still start the application.

Submit your requirements via email to hello@iceacareers.com.

Email subject format:
[Your Name] – Application for [Position Title]

We will review your qualifications and contact you if shortlisted.

If you qualify, the next step is obtaining an FCE to evaluate your education under U.S. standards.

  • You may contact a recognized agency independently.
  • Or we can assist you for a small service fee.

After screening and credential evaluation, we will guide you through obtaining a J1 or H1B visa.

You will be connected with a Visa Sponsor who will help with:

  • Documentation (DS-2019 for J1, H1B petition, etc.)
  • Preparation for your visa interview
  • Ensuring all government fees are paid

Once your visa is approved, we will assist with:

  • Flight booking
  • Pre-departure orientation
  • Budgeting and housing guidance
  • Adjustment tips for living in the U.S.

Upon arrival in the U.S., we provide:

  • Airport pickup
  • Assistance with Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Help setting up a U.S. bank account
  • Guidance for obtaining a driver's license
  • Community support and cultural programs
